Since its launch 30 months ago, Google Keep has been downloaded more than 10 million times from the Google Play Store. And now you can download it from the iTunes App Store.
Google introduced Keep for iOS on Thursday, bringing one of the last few of its Android-only mobile apps to iPhones and iPads.
Keep is a notepad of sorts, similar to the native Notes app for iOS. You can type out any thoughts in Keep, adding your own photos, audio files and bulleted lists. And in typical Google fashion, everything you "keep" is backed up to the cloud, quickly becoming available on practically any connected mobile device, laptop, or desktop.
Keep also works natively with Android Wear, which isn't limited to Android devices any longer. Last month, Google introduced Android Wear for iOS so you can use a Google-powered watch with an iPhone.
Over time, Google has added advanced features to Keep, which was initially a very basic note-taking app. The latest version includes transcription from recorded audio, geo-location based reminders for notes and capturing searchable text from an image.
Google's own Evernote competitor is expanding its reach. The search giant made the popular note taking app will be available for Apple devices.
